BIO

Monica Hoffman is a professional actress and historian. Having grown up with a father who is a pilot, she felt the lure of aviation from her earliest years. In fact, she can still remember her childhood memories of being seated in the cockpit of a small plane as her dad explained all the instruments, and she got her first taste of the magnificent view from above. As an adult, that influence of flight ignited her own passion for discovering and portraying one of the most prolific female aviators the world has ever known, Amelia Earhart. Monica has studied acting privately as well as at the prestigious Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia. She has performed in local and regional theaters that include Bristol Riverside Theater, The Delaware Valley Regional Theater, and The Academy of Music. Her credits include commercials and independent film, including the 2010 documentary Breaking Through the Clouds: The First Women’s National Air Derby.
